Three Outstanding Partner Companies Each Receive KRW 20 Million in Awards

On the 31st, Hyosung held its “2024 Hyosung Pride Awards” ceremony at its headquarters in Mapo, Seoul.

At the event, Kim Seung-han, Head of the Interior PU (Managing Director), and Cho Jae-joon, Managing Director of the Audit Team, were honored as the 2024 Hyosung Employees of the Year, each receiving a cash prize of KRW 100 million along with a commemorative plaque.

Managing Director Kim was recognized for his outstanding contributions since 2009, when he took over the Interior PU. Facing intensified competition from low-cost alternatives in the car mat sector, he successfully developed a range of new products tailored to various customer needs, thereby expanding sales both domestically and internationally. His efforts in increasing carpet supply to large new buildings also solidified Hyosung’s top market share in the carpet division, significantly growing the business unit.

Managing Director Cho led strategic innovation initiatives based on Hyosung’s core values, the Hyosung Way, proactively diagnosing and improving organizational workflows to maximize profit. His evaluations of overseas subsidiaries contributed to both efficient organizational structures and profitability improvements.

Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon congratulated the award recipients, stating,

WONKANGMETAL Co., Ltd. Among Top Three Partners Recognized for Co-Prosperity

As part of its continued commitment to mutual growth with over 1,000 partner companies, Hyosung also awarded WONKANGMETAL Co., Ltd., Dongbang Chemical, and Hwaeung Construction Co., Ltd. with the 2024 Outstanding Partner Award. Each company received KRW 20 million in prize money.

These companies were recognized for their critical roles in ensuring the supply of high-quality components for Hyosung’s core business divisions—including pumps, carpets, and construction materials—thereby enhancing Hyosung’s global competitiveness.
