Executives Kim Seung-han and Cho Jae-joon Recognized; WONKANGMETAL Selected as Outstanding Partner

At the "2024 Hyosung Pride Awards" held on the 31st at Hyosung's headquarters in Mapo, Seoul, Kim Seung-han, Head of the Interior PU (Managing Director), and Cho Jae-joon, Managing Director of the Audit Team, were honored as “Hyosung Employees of the Year.” Each received a plaque and a cash prize of KRW 100 million.

In addition, three companies including WONKANGMETAL Co., Ltd. were selected as Outstanding Partner Companies, each receiving KRW 20 million in prize money, recognizing their contributions to Hyosung’s growth and success.

Kim Seung-han, who took charge of the Interior PU in 2009, was credited for revitalizing the car mat business amid intense competition with low-cost alternatives. He developed new products tailored to diverse customer needs and expanded both domestic and international sales. By increasing carpet supplies to newly constructed large buildings, he secured the top market share in the carpet sector and significantly grew the division.

Cho Jae-joon, Managing Director of the Audit Team, was recognized for proactively diagnosing and improving work processes based on Hyosung Way, the company’s core value system. His efforts in organizational innovation and profit enhancement, especially through audits of overseas branches, were highly praised.

Vice Chairman Lee Sang-woon commented, “This award reflects the sense of responsibility and dedication shown by the recipients in building sustainable competitiveness,” adding, “Let’s build a strong and resilient company together, even in the face of external challenges.”

As part of its commitment to co-prosperity with over 1,000 partner companies, Hyosung has been presenting the Outstanding Partner Awards since last year. In 2024, WONKANGMETAL, Dongbang Chemical, and Hwaeung Construction Co., Ltd. were selected as this year’s awardees.
