37 Companies Designated for the ‘2025 Global Small Giant 1,000+ Project’

Support Provided from Overseas Marketing to Policy Finance for Growth

[Chungcheong News Reporter Park Young-hwan] On the 11th, the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency announced that it held a certificate awarding ceremony for 37 newly designated companies under the ‘2025 Global Small Giant 1,000+ Project.’

About 60 people attended the event, including Kim Chan-bae, the Director of the Promotion Agency, Kim Yoon-woo, Head of the Chungnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, and representatives from local export companies. The ceremony included certificate and certification plaque presentations, a special lecture on non-preferential origin responses, commemorative photos, and networking sessions.

The small giants selected this year are companies that recorded exports exceeding 5 million USD last year. After a strict and fair evaluation process, the final selections were made. Notably, the newly designated companies showed outstanding growth, with an average annual sales growth of 16% and export growth of 58% over the past three years.

The companies designated as small giants this year include: Gluga Co., Ltd., New & New Co., Ltd., Biosstandard Co., Ltd., Seobuk Co., Ltd., Stec Co., Ltd., Arga Co., Ltd., WONKANGMETAL Co., Ltd., Eden Tech Co., Ltd., Jungwoo Industrial Co., Ltd., Jideok Industrial Co., Ltd., KTI Co., Ltd., Pometal Co., Ltd., and Whil Co., Ltd.

The Promotion Agency stated it will spare no effort to support the growth of these small giants through various means, including:

• ‘Global Leap’ via customized overseas marketing support,

• ‘Innovative Growth’ through policy finance linkage and technological advancement,

• ‘Growth Together’ by building CEO partnerships,

• ‘Sustainable Growth’ by providing economic trend information.

Director Kim Chan-bae said, “Despite uncertainties in the international situation, today’s achievements were made possible by the challenges and efforts of companies. Meanwhile, the ‘Global Small Giant 1,000+ Project’ selects SMEs with high innovation and growth potential to nurture them as leading export companies. Since 2011, the Promotion Agency has discovered and supported a total of 123 regional small giants, providing systematic assistance to help them develop differentiated competitiveness in the global market.
