[Dongyang Ilbo Reporter Cheon Seong-nam] WONKANGMETAL Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Hae-seung), located in Chwiseong-ri, Galsan-myeon, Hongseong-gun, donated 10 million KRW through a neighbor love fundraising campaign.

Of this amount, 5 million KRW was designated as scholarship funds to support the nurturing of local talented students, setting a commendable example.

On the 17th, Galsan-myeon (Mayor Lee Heung-jong) visited elementary, middle, and high schools in the Galsan area to personally award scholarship certificates and deliver the scholarship funds to students.

The office received recommendations from school principals for 16 students (4 elementary, 6 middle, and 6 high school students) who excel academically and demonstrate exemplary behavior despite difficult family circumstances. Scholarships of 200,000 KRW for elementary students, 300,000 KRW for middle school students, and 400,000 KRW for high school students were presented.

WONKANGMETAL has been continuously practicing neighborly love by donating scholarships to students at local schools through fundraising efforts for several years.

Lee Heung-jong, Mayor of Galsan-myeon, expressed gratitude, saying, “We thank WONKANGMETAL for their annual scholarship donations to low-income students in Galsan-myeon. We hope these students will study hard, contribute to regional development, and grow into talents who share love and generosity with others in the future.”
